Supplier Model

 
The Supplier Model is a construction sourcing initiative that covers all of the North of Ireland.  The role of the Model within the build of the New Acute Hospital for the South West is to assist companies to achieve pre-qualification standards as set by FCCElliott Health Care.  The qualification process will include completion of a Potential Tenders Questionnaire, completion of FCCElliott Expression of Interest and if successful companies will be given the opportunity to tender of work packages on the build programme.

 

The model is funded and supported by Invest NI.

 

All the staff who work on the Supplier Model are highly qualified professionals who all have experience of the construction sector and hold professional qualifications.

 

The model has been in existence since 2003 and since its inception has been instrumental in assisting construction companies to tender for and win in excess of £70 million of contracts within mainly the commercial and public sectors.

 

The overall aims of the Supplier Model is to assist and support construction companies to position themselves within the market place to enable them to tender for major contracts.  To achieve this aim we offer the following support some of which is funded by Invest NI and some of which companies fund themselves:

 

  • Assisting companies to tender for contracts of all sizes
  • Assisting companies to source labour with the correct skills set to enable them to deliver on major infrastructure projects
  • Assisting companies to meet pre-qualification requirement
  • Assisting companies to implement Construction Line, Safe T Cert ISO and Environmental compliance
  • Assisting companies to present a professional market image and create a better market presence
  • Assisting companies to carry out skills scans within their organisations and assisting in the provision and identification of suitable training options

 

In addition to our work with Contractors we also have a strategic role which includes the following areas of focus:

 

  • Promoting and championing companies to a world wide market
  • To inform the industry of new contract opportunities
  • To lobby on behalf of companies to ensure that opportunities are given to companies who can clearly demonstrate community benefit
  • To ensure that Northern Companies are promoted and the skills recognised
  • To assist in the development of networks and collaborative working

 

The process for Expression of Interest and Tendering for the New Acute Hospital for South West is via the Supplier Model.  Please ensure that if you are interested in submitting your company details to FCCElliott HealthCare that you take and complete a potential tender questionnaire available from Supplier Model staff.  This questionnaire is the starting point for all companies and should be returned to the address as stated.
